Celebration of Light – December 20, 2017
We will be having our Celebration of Light on Wednesday, December 20th. This is an occasion for the whole family.
There will be Three celebrations on December 20th:
- The Toddler Program (18 months – 35 months): This family celebration will take place from 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. for all families. Children and families of the AM Toddler Program are welcome back for the 3:00 p.m. celebration. Parents of the All Day Class are also invited to arrive at 3:00 p.m.
- The Preprimary AM Class (Willow Room) family celebration will be from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Parents of AM students are invited to arrive at 10:00 a.m.
- The Preprimary All Day Class (Oak Room) family celebration will take place from 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Parents of the All Day students are invited to arrive at 3:00 p.m.
School ends at 4:00 p.m. on this day, as there will be no After Hours programing.
Candles play a major role in cultural celebrations this month. From the earliest Roman festivals and pagan rituals, through Europe, Africa and Asia to the Americas, candles and their humble light have been one of the key factors in the celebration of the winter holidays.
